After nearly 24 years as the U.S. Representative for the Central Coast, I’m retiring to be a full-time grandparent.
I know I will leave elected office having made significant contributions to improving the quality of life on the Central Coast. Whether it be advocating for affordable housing, getting a VA-DOD health clinic and a veterans cemetery, building a state-of-the-art marine laboratory, creating the 59th National Park at Pinnacles or providing seed money to establish CSUMB, I am proud of my accomplishments on behalf of the Central Coast.
Since I’m retiring and the business of this session of Congress has officially ended, I would refer you to Senator Feinstein’s office for assistance. You may visit her website at and you may call her office at 415-393-0707. Starting next year, you can reach out to my successor, Jimmy Panetta.
It has been an honor and privilege to serve the Central Coast in the U.S. House of Representatives for nearly 24 years. I am excited for this next part of my life and look forward to continuing to serve our community as a citizen politician. I’m returning to the people I love, and the beautiful district that I’ve called home my entire life. I’ll see you around the Central Coast.
