53 Locals to Become Citizens on July 6 PDF Print

 

Working with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, Rep. Farr will host 53 Central Coast residents who will take the Oath of Allegiance and become United States citizens during a special ceremony. The new citizens come from 15 countries including Canada, Iran, Mexico and United Kingdom.

 

Welcoming remarks will be offered by Mark Silberstein, executive director for the Elkhorn Slough Foundation, and Carol Keller, field office director for the San Jose Citizenship and Immigration Services. The keynote address will be offered by Monterey County Superior Court Judge Lydia Villareal.
