Washington, DC – Congressman Sam Farr (D-Carmel) is pleased to announce his first ever Facebook Cover Photo contest.  Residents of the district are encouraged to enter their own original, high-quality photographs of California’s 17^th district for a chance to appear as the cover photo on the Congressman’s page.  The winning entry, chosen by fans of Congressman Farr’s page, will appear as the new cover photo on his page.

For consideration, residents may submit up to three original photographs via This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it by Friday, July 6th.  All entrants must own the copyrights for their submission.  Entries must include following:  name of the photographer, location of the photograph and a brief description. Once received, all submissions will appear in the photo section of the Congressman’s Facebook page. 

On Monday, July 9th, Congressman Farr will announce on his Facebook page three finalists, chosen by the Congressman.  At that point, public voting will begin.  Fans of the page will be able to select the winner of the contest by “liking” their favorite of the three finalists.  Voting will end on Wednesday, July 11th at 5:00 pm PST and the winner announced.
